Gifteer’s lightning speed: THE secret

Have you ever noticed how fast Gifteer is? You can jump from one link to the next without having to wait. But how do they do that?

Maybe you have noticed that your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, …) is only accessing one URL (www.gifteer.com). Wherever you click on, you stay on the same page and can access all the features very quickly, without having to wait for the page to reload.

Gifteer ready for Christmas!

Our art director has gone the extra mile with the new Christmas theme:  check out www.gifteer.com to see the new look and feel of Gifteer. Is it magic?  Science-fiction?  We don’t really know for sure…

Prepare for Christmas with confidence using Gifteer:  create your wishlist and your children’s wishlist, and you know you’ll definitely have good surprises on Christmas day!

Associate accounts

If you have small children, it’s difficult for you to ask them to enter their wishes in Gifteer!
That’s why we invented associate accounts. These accounts, that you create yourself for your children, allow you to manage their wish lists directly from your own account.

How do I get started?
Go to your account settings, by clicking on your name at the top right-hand corner. Then you will see, on the right-hand side, where you can create one or more associate accounts.

Later (much later…), you will be able to transform these delegate accounts into “normal” accounts, allowing your children to manage their wishlists themselves.

We will soon expand the concept of delegate accounts for children to other delegates, such as parents (if don’t have internet access), or your spouse…if he refuses to create a wishlist ;-).

Gifteer is live!

We are excited to announce that the site www.gifteer.com is now available to the world.

A few users had been able to access the site for a few weeks, and based on our feedback we did some final improvements, before launching the site on November 15th.

So go to www.gifteer.com to share your gift ideas, see your friends’ wish lists, and let your family know what gifts your children really want!

Gifteer Forum

When Gifteer goes live on November 15th, you’ll also have access to a forum.
Why would you want a Forum ?

This forum will let you :
- Ask for advice to other members on gift ideas for your spouse, your children or your friends! Help other members out in return!
- Tell what you think about a new product, whether or not it is a great gift, who would love to receive it for Christmas!
- Report a bug or request a new feature. Help us improve this service to make your life even easier!

Gifteer on a PC near you on November 15th

Save the date : starting November 15th you will be able to access the web site www.gifteer.com. You will be able to prep for Christmas !
You’ll use the web site to let people know what gifts you would really like to get, and what your friends and family would like, too.

Gifteer in black?

The pink look & feel that we chose for Gifteer is very popular, but some people have asked us to see what other colors we could come up with. Here is what you’ll see in the future :

Eventually you will have the option to choose your own theme, so it will really be your Gifteer! But be patient, this functionnality is not available yet!

As we announced on September 10th, here is a first picture of Gifteer.com.

For right now you can’t access the actual web site (you’ll have to wait for a few more weeks), but we thought it would be fair to show you what it will look like.

Here is the home page (in French only for right now!) :

We tried hard to keep it very simple and useful, but also nice looking! We at Gifteer love teddy bears! On this page you can :

• add new wishes, that is : stuff you would love to get for Christmas for example
• see your friends’ wishes (”what can I get Chris for his birthday?”)
• create groups, to manage family Christmas gifts for example

Of course there is so much more to say, but we’ll start slowly!

Don’t hesitate to give us your thoughts on the general design of the site… and much more!

We are very excited to welcome our first visitors! The Gifteer.com web site is not launched yet (you’ll have to wait for a few more weeks), but we couldn’t help sharing our work with you.

Gifteer.com will let you share your gift ideas, not only for you but also for your children and your spouse, and will let you see what others would love to have. To put it simply, it is going to make gifts easier than ever! Just imagine a Christmas when your children get gifts they actually like, and how about knowing what your brother-in-law John really really want!

In just a few days we will show you some pictures from the web site so you can get a feel for what it will look like. Your feedback will be very important for us, and we will make sure we take it into account before the actual launch!
