New skin for Gifteer Blog!

We’re delighted to announce that Gifteer Blog has just changed its look&feel: forget the old pink color theme (it was probably not pink, but I am not good with colors…), now the blog will be synchronised with the color theme of the actual application www.gifteer.com.
We are now living for a few more days with the Automne theme, while the Christmas theme is being prepared (this year the Christmas Theme will be cooooooooooooold. Brrrrrrrr!).

Gifteer: already one year!

Yes, it’s already been a year since Gifteer is facilitating your gifts!
The site was indeed launched on November 15th, 2008.
We are ready to help our thousands of users to prepare Christmas 2009 that will be full of gifts, no doubt about that.

Your letter to Santa Claus

It’s time to write your letter to Santa Claus, by adding wishes to your Gifteer wish list. Here are a some advice:

• Add as many wishes as possible, so that your friends and family will have a lot to choose from, and you won’t feel like imposing this or that gift. And you will still be surprised!
• Share your wish list on your favorite social networks: Facebook, Twitter, ….
• Create wish lists for your kids
• Email your wish list by copying the URL of your wish list

Add2Gifteer: innovation for eCommerce sites

Gifteer innovates again with the launch of its APIs.
The first of them, called Add2Gifteer, is designed for eCommerce sites: with Add2Gifteer, your visitors can add your products to their Gifteer wish list, with a click of a button.

Why would an ecommerce site use Add2Gifteer?
Half of your traffic is probably related to visitors who want your products, but are not ready to buy them, at least now. They have three possibilities: (1) sigh, leave your site and forget your products (2) remember your site and come back later to buy your product (3) have a friend offer them the product.
There is not much we can do for you for (1)…
Add2Gifteer is designed for (2) et (3) : I am not buying right now, but somebody will, sooner or later!

Add2Gifteer, how does it work for my visitors?
As a visitor of an ecommerce site, you see an “Add2Gifteer” button next to a product, and you click on it. Either you are already logged in (you are already a Gifteer user, and a cookie identifies you), and then you land on the form where you can add the wish, with fields already pre-populated (name, description, URL, image, price), and all you have to do is save the wish. Or you are not logged in, and you have can either create a new account or use an existing account, then you are back on the pre-populated form, and you’re good to go!

Best site for Christmas

Here they are: the mighty toys catalog! They fill out our mailboxes, mesmerize our kids and scare the parents.
But thank God there’s Gifteer.
All you have to do is to sit down with your daughter, ask her what she wants for Christmas, and enter all her wishes in her delegate account. Then if someone asks you what she wants for Christmas, all you’ll have to do is email them the URL of her wish list!

Prioritize your wish list on Gifteer

For those of us who have dozens of wishes on their Gifteer wish list, you’ve got to have way to tell your friends which ones you want now!
That’s why we introduced a new functionality called “priorities” that lets you specify which wishes you want first. You have little hearts that you can pick: choose from one to five hearts and tell the world what your wish priorities are!

New affiliation program: Gifteer Suggests

Gifteer.com, the universal wish list site that lets you create and share wish lists, introduces its new partnership program.
Called Gifteer Suggests, this program lets users browse gift suggestions selected for them.
When they stumble upon a wish they would love to have, the users can click on the “I want this too!” button to add the wish directly to their wish list. Later, their friends or family may offer this wish to them !
